Tuberose
SHIPPING THROUGHOUT CANADA SHIPPING/DELIVERY IS IN APRIL AND MAY
Voluptuous, irrisistible, sweet, exotic, complex, velvety floral opulence are just some of the words used to describe the scent of the Tuberose. This flower is one of the key ingredients in perfume. Known as ‘the carnal flower’, Tuberose’s blooms are so powerful that just a few stems can fill a room with their headiness, pumping out their scent for days or even weeks. They make an excellent cut flower and the varieties listed here are all chosen for their double florets. One bulb will produce many stems per year. They flower from July through October and like soil rich in compost (they are heavy feeders) and well draining. They prefer full sun, but do not let the soil dry out during the Summer. In zones 3-8 make sure to lift the bulbs after the first frost and store them in a cool dry place over the Winter. The bulbs should be divided every 4-5 years.
