Dahlias

Dahlia tubers will be available for Vancouver Island delivery as well as shipping to the BC lower mainland in October and November.   Tubers will be shipped/delivered at a later date than other flower products.                        Tubers will be dug, cleaned, split and air cured, with at least one viable eye.                                                       They will be ready for you to store using your choice method for your location.   By getting your tubers this Fall, you can start them as early as you wish come Spring and take advantage of the low prices.                                                                          YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR STORAGE OVER WINTER                                                  AND ALL GUARANTEES END ONCE YOU TAKE POSSESSION   

     Dahlia plants need full sun of at least 6 hours per day in order to do well. Deer resistant. They are heavy feeders and are best grown in a rich compost with good drainage. Most of the varieties sold on our site are 36" + and should be staked to protect them from the wind. Cut the blooms regularly to promote more and more flowers                          right until frost.  Keep in mind varieties that are bi-coloured can vary greatly from bloom to bloom,                                                                               sometimes more of one colour than another.                                                                          All Dahlias listed here are grown at our farms in BC.  (Shawnigan Lake and Mill Bay)
